✦ Synopsis

The behaviour of samples of poly(ethylene dimethacrylate esters) and poly(2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate-co-dimethacrylate esters) synthesized by suspension polymerization in the presence of toluene has been studied by measurement of regain coefficients (methanol, toluene, cyclohexane). The effects of the solubility parameters, polymerization conditions, and structure of monomers have also been examined by scanning electron microscopy and size pore distributions by mercury porosimetry.
