The authors' previous analyses of normal perforation of thin plate by high speed projectiles are generalized to include truncated cones, at oblique striking angles. A complete velocity-displacement history is obtained for the most general case. Results are presented in graphical form.

The protection capability of dual flying plates against a yawed long rod of enhanced L/D is evaluated numerically, where L is the length and D is the diameter of the rod. This study is motivated by the fact that the protection performance of dual plate system is governed by the extent of interaction
A numerical study of conical projectiles for perpendicular impact on a thin steel plate is reported. The target material considered, Weldox 460 E steel, is frequently used for this kind of application and several results of experiments are available in the international literature to verify numerica
