## Abstract A simple, efficient protocol for the preparation of α‐labeled aldehydes based on H/D exchange catalyzed by 4‐(__N,N__‐dimethylamino)pyridine or Et~3~N is described. High chemical yields and ratios of isotope incorporation were obtained even when small amounts (∼1 mmol) of aldehyde were
