## Abstract Novel slotโfed dielectric resonator antenna is studied experimentally. The antenna is comprised of a rectangular dielectric resonator and a mictrostrip fed coupling slot. The multiband resonances of the two radiators i.e., slot and dielectric resonator are combined to extend the antenna

โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
In this article, a novel wideband slot antenna is proposed. The slot is quarterโwavelength long and loaded with a capacitor to increase its bandwidth. The effect of the capacitor on the antenna radiation efficiency is also investigated. ยฉ 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
