## Abstract Ultra‐high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) powder (GUR 1020) was blended with high concentration (20%) of vitamin E (α‐Tocopherol (α‐T)) for direct detection of α‐T radicals in presence of PE radicals. ## Abstract Titanium surfaces were coated with bovine serum albumin using carbodiimide, a crosslinking agent. The durability of the coated surfaces and the inhibitory effect of the albumin coating on bacterial adherence were tested __in vitro__ for 20 consecutive days at 37°C in phosphate buffered
