β¦ Synopsis
We compute the dominant new physics contributions to the processes Z + bb and B-l? in the context of two representative models with extra dimensions. The main thrust of the calculations focuses on how to control the effects of the infinite tower of Kaluza-Klein modes inside the relevant one-loop diagrams. By comparing the results with the existing experimental data, most importantly those for &, we show that one may derive interesting lower bounds on the size of the compactification scale MC.

## Abstract The electroβmagnetic and particle radiation detected from the direction of Cygnus X3 raise the question of the existence of special longβlived, neutral particles. We investigate the origin of these particles in a special approach: the source object may contain compactified extra dimensi
Exclusive rare B β K ( \* ) + -, B β K ( \* ) Ξ½ Ξ½ and B β K \* Ξ³ decays are studied within the Applequist-Cheng-Dobrescu model, an extension of the Standard Model in presence of universal extra dimensions. In the case of a single universal extra dimension compactified on a circle of radius R, we stu
