Abstract

The electro‐magnetic and particle radiation detected from the direction of Cygnus X3 raise the question of the existence of special long‐lived, neutral particles. We investigate the origin of these particles in a special approach: the source object may contain compactified extra dimension and these particles are messengers of this state. We describe hyperon stars in 3 + 1 dimension and introduce the description of a compact stars in 3 + 1~c~ + 1 dimensional space‐time. (© 2007 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)

Multidimensional theories at TeV energies, as given in the brane world scenarios with large or compact extra spatial dimensions (ED), are discussed. One interesting feature of recent ED models is the rich low-energy phenomenology that originates from the Kaluza-Klein spectrum of various particles pr

We discuss the impact of strange hadrons, in particular hyperons, on the gross features of compact stars and on core-collapse supernovae. Hyperons are likely to be the first exotic species which appears around twice normal nuclear matter density in the core of neutron stars. Their presence largely i
