The detection of gas phase atomic hydrogen. nitrogen nnd oxygen by photoelectron spectroscopy. usinr He1 21.21 eV r:tdintion. is rcwrtcd for the first time. The USC of the technique in gas I~h:isc kineticstudies is suggested.
Dimethoxysulfane / Dimethoxydisulfane / Photoelectron spectra / Calculations, MO / Ligand properties The He(1) photoelectron spectra of dimethoxysulfane (1) and dimethoxydisulfane (2) have been recorded. The lowest energy ionizations in the PE spectrum of 1 can be explained by assuming C , symmetry.
The high-resolution He 584 A photoelectron spectra of ten diuanaphthalenes are presented. The ordering of the n orbit& and the nitrogen "lone-pair" orbitals is discussed. Several semi-empirical quantum-chemical calculation methods have been screened against the esperimentd evidence.
