β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
With a view to prepare titanium tetraβacetate, the reaction between titanium tetrachloride and a mixture of acetic acid and acetic anhydride has been investigated in detail. It has been shown that the reaction in cold yielded pure crystalline dichloride diβacetate of titanium. On refluxing the reaction mixture, decomposition reactions occurred, yielding basic titanium derivatives of the type magnified image.
