Die primäre Oxygruppe des Chinaalkohols läßt sich über den Tosylester gegen eine primäre Aminogruppe austauschen. Das gebildete Chino‐methylamin (X) gibt mit Salpetriger Säure unter Ringerweiterung das optisch aktive 3.4.5‐Trioxy‐cycloheptanon XII bzw. XIII.
