Abstract

The asymmetric hydroformylation of the straight chain butenes with the [(−)‐DIOP]PtCl~2~‐SnCl~2~ catalytic system shows that asymmetric induction, contrary to the rhodium‐(−)‐DIOP catalytic system, takes place after the intermediate metal‐alkyl‐complex formation.
