## Abstract Comparison of ^31^P NMR spectra of the rat gastrocnemius, obtained __in vivo__ and from PCA extracts, after electrically induced contractions, demonstrates that glucoseβ6βphosphate (G6P) is the major metabolite in the lowβfield part of the PME spectral region. __In vivo__ ^31^P NMR can

β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Previous in vivo studies have demonstrated that Ξ±, Ξ². and Ξ³ ATP chemical shifts measured by ^31^P NMR spectroscopy can be used to determine intracellular magnesium in erythrocytes, but up to now such results have not been confirmed in striated muscle in vivo. We report BATP chemicalβshift in vivo measurements revealing the depletion of free intracellular magnesium in striated muscle of rats fed a magnesium deficient diet.

The relationship between the phosphoenergetic state and gluconeogenesis in the liver after ischemic damage was investigated using living rats. The ATP level was determined with in vivo 31 P nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and gluconeogenesis was evaluated with in vivo 31 C NMR spectroscopy
The rate constant of the β€-adenosine triphosphate to β€-adenosine diphosphate conversion was measured using 31 P nuclear magnetic resonance magnetization transfer in resting and contracting in vivo rat skeletal muscle. Theoretically, the rate constant should be the sum of the rate constants of the re
This study investigated whether the sensory-to-motor reinervation of the muscle flap provides a better sensory recovery of an overlying skin graft. Fifty-four animals were studied in three groups of 18 rats each: group I (control): 1 cm of the gastrocnemius muscle motor nerve was excised and no repa
