Acid phosphatase has been demonstrated histochemically in several mammalian tissues since Gomori introduced his method in 1941. Although surprisingly little information has been obtained about acid phosphatase in adult Urodele tissues, Kambara ('55) has demonstrated phosphatase reactivity in the epi
