✦ Synopsis

The Cu^II^ ion of the title complex, [Cu(SO~4~)(C~15~H~11~N~3~O)(H~2~O)]·2H~2~O, exhibits a square-pyramidal coordination geometry, defined by the three N-atom donors of a 2,6-bis(pyridin-2-yl)pyridin-4-ol ligand and an O atom of a sulfate group in the basal plane, and by an aqua ligand in the apical position.
