β¦ Synopsis
By a least-squares method, an approximation of x-ray transition energies of the main transitions of the Kand L-series was obtained. As investigations show it seems advantageous to split the Z -region up to Z = 92 into two ranges. By using a seven-parameter equation the accuracy obtained lies in most cases in the eV region.
