โœฆ Synopsis

The publication of the new "Pay and Conditions of Employment" (DES, 1987) makes it clear that all teachers may be required to take part in some form of staff appraisal. All the contributors to this book have practical experience of introducing staff appraisal into schools or of training colleagues in the processes of staff appraisal, and their experience covers both primary and secondary education, large and small schools. They provide practical guidance on the introduction of staff appraisal into a range of schools, outline a planning process for the establishment of staff appraisal, and help those involved to prepare for the process itself.
