These applications demonstrate clearly the potential and range of SFC in conjunction with flame ionization and EVMS detection. The data in this study was obtained with existing instrumentation, requiring only minor modification. However, optimization of the MS detection will undoubtedly require an E

β¦ Synopsis
HY-APATITE ' is a high-purity calcium hydroxyapatite with primary application in the medical field, for bone implants. Its suitability as a liquid chromatographic (LC) column packing material for the analysis of sugars, alkaloids, enzymes and proteins was investigated. Experiments with sintered I-W-APATITE were promising. The regular material was found to be mechanically unstable and, therefore, not suitable for LC. Results are presented for both regular and sintered I-IY-APATITE columns.

## Abstract Monolithic columns have slowly been applied to HPLC methods for clinical chemistry testing in the last 10 years. The application areas include therapeutic drug monitoring, drugs of abuse, vitamins, porphyrins, and steroids. In comparison with conventional particulate columns, the monoli
