β¦ Synopsis
Aucubin, an iridoid glycoside was found to suppress hepatitis B virus DNA replication in vitro in a 2.2.15 cell culture system. Aucubin itself did not exhibit antiviral activity, but it showed significant activity when preincubated with β€-glucosidase. Aucubin possesses no cytotoxicity at a broad range of concentrations in vitro.

The potential antiviral effects against duck hepatitis B virus were investigated using aqueous extracts of Terminalis chebula, Sanguisorba officinalis, Rubus coreanus and Rheum palmatum. ## Abstract Recently, heterocyclic benzimidazole derivatives have been investigated and validated as a promising class of antiviral agents. In this paper, a series of novel thiazolylbenzimidazole derivatives was synthesized and evaluated for their antiβhepatitis B virus (HBV) activity and cytotoxic
In vitro HBV infection and neutralization were assayed using an anti-preS1 murine monoclonal antibody (1B3) and anti-preS2 (H69K) and anti-S (CS131A) murine-human chimeric antibodies. The 1B3 (IgG1) and H69K (IgG1) was constructed previously and the CS131A was constructed for this study by expressin
The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a rapid and very sensitive method to detect viral genomes. In the present study, the efficacy of immunization against hepatitis B virus (HBV) of high-risk infants was evaluated by PCR. Twentynine infants born to 24 HBeAg-positive carrier mothers were given hepa
