โฆ Synopsis
A carrageenin-induced oedema model was investigated to compare and elucidate the antiidlammatory effects of three fractions (CHCI,, n-BuOH and H,O) from the aerial parts of Holmskioldiu sunguinea. The H,O (20 and 40 mg) and n-BuOH (200 mg) fractions were found to be effective compared with standard hydrocortisone. The effective dose and lethal dose (LD,) value indicated that the extract was non-toxic.
