## Abstract A new method for the synthesis of spiro‐__β__‐lactams tethered to tetrahydrofuran rings is described. The procedure is based on Ru‐catalyzed metathesis sequences with oxanorbornene precursors easily obtained by the __Staudinger__ [2+2] cycloaddition of related imines.
