Magnetic properties of peculiar structural-type borate Cu 2 NiB 2 O 6 are investigated by means of ac susceptibility, dc magnetization, and heat capacity measurements. This material is isostructural to Cu 2 CoB 2 O 6 , of which the structural configuration is composed of quasi-one-dimensional six-co
