โœฆ Synopsis

Working in a foreign environment with different political, cultural and economic characteristics, hotel expatriates are confronted with both job-related and personal problems. This study identified the predictors of job and life satisfaction of expatriate hotel managers in the Asian Pacific. The findings suggest that role clarity, participation in decision making, and skill variety are the best predictors of expatriate job satisfaction, while cultural adjustment and skill variety are the predictors of expatriate life satisfaction. In addition, the study also examined the relationship between expatriate satisfaction and turnover intention. The results indicate that both job and life satisfaction affect expatriate turnover intention.
