## Abstract **BACKGROUND:** Veratric acid (VA, 3,4‐dimethoxy‐benzoic acid) is representative of the polyphenolic type compounds present in olive mill wastewater (OMW). Given the bactericide factor, the inhibitor character and the anti bacteriological activity of this compound, traditional biologica
