✦ Synopsis

focuses on advanced methods for predicting and preventing the occurrence of defects in manufactured products. As new features, MPD 4 will include the thermo-microstructural origins of these defects and the influence of the process-induced defects on the integrity of structures obtained by solid-, paste-or fluid-state forming.

All conventional and new materials will be considered as well as all major manufacturing operations. The present Conference aims to provide a forum for the presentation and exchange of innovative approaches in this important field with obvious economic consequences.
