β¦ Synopsis
The electrochemical behavior of poly(N-methylpyrrole) (PNMP) has been studied in aqueous solution by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM). The electrochemical process of P N M P (TsO-) in TsONa solution or PNMP(N0,) in NaNO, solution showed good chemical reversibility. The process only involved the anion doping and dedoping. PNMP(Ts0-) kept good electrochemical activity in NaNO, or Na2S04 solution. But PNMP(N0,) became less active electrochemically in Na2S04 solution and inactive in TsONa solution. PNMP(N0,) in NaCl solution showed similar electrochemical behavior to that in NiClp solution.

Poly(N-methylpyrrole) coatings were formed on low carbon steel by an electrochemical method from aqueous oxalate solutions. The electrochemical reactions were performed in a wide range of pH of the reaction medium and applied current density. The formation of poly(N-methylpyrrole) on steel occurred
In this study, the conducting forms of poly(N-vinyl carbazole) (PNVC) doped with HSO 4 Οͺ and NO 3 Οͺ anions were synthesized electrochemically in dioxane and ethanol. It was observed that the acid concentration was an important factor in the synthesis of the conducting PNVC in dioxane-H 2 SO 4 media
The reduction of H+ cations on the Pt electrode coated with poly(N-methylpyrrole) (PNMP) film was studied in an acidic aqueous solution. The reduction depends strongly on the counteranions originally doped in PNMP during polymerization. H+ cations can penetrate the neutral or overoxidized film from
