✦ Synopsis
Abstract
In this article, analysis of V‐slot loaded patch antenna is proposed using equivalent circuit model. Such antenna provides a wide bandwidth which depends inversely on the base width and slot thickness. The proposed results are compared with experimental and simulated results which are in good agreements. Radiation pattern of the proposed antenna is in good agreement with the simulated results. This validates the accuracy of the proposed model. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 50: 3069–3075, 2008; Published online in Wiley InterScience (www.interscience.wiley.com).
