Abstract

Monte Carlo method is well known for solving static problems such as Laplace's or Poisson's equation. In this article, we extend the applicability of the conventional Monte Carlo method to solve timeโ€dependent cylindrical problems. We present results in oneโ€dimensional and twoโ€dimensional regions that agree with the exact solutions. ยฉ 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
