An improved method for the evaluation of the temperature integral and a simpler and straightforward alternative derivation of the thermoluminescence (TL) glow curve deconvolution functions proposed by Kitis et al. [J. Phys. D 31, 2636(1998)] are presented. A comparative study of the derived deconvol

Scientific findings reported here show that TL-emission lines are also possible in the near i.r.-spectrum. CaF,:Tm, CaF,: Dy and CaSO,: Dy emit TL-light of high intensity in the near i.r. region, which can be measured with photodiodes and which is useful for dosimetry.
