✦ Synopsis
An improved method for the evaluation of the temperature integral and a simpler and straightforward alternative derivation of the thermoluminescence (TL) glow curve deconvolution functions proposed by Kitis et al. [J. Phys. D 31, 2636(1998)] are presented. A comparative study of the derived deconvolution functions and the Gauss-Lorentz asymmetric deconvolution function proposed by Vejnovic et al. has been made considering a number of computer simulated TL peaks. We apply Kitis' method to deconvolute a number of experimental TL glow curves. Finally, the possible extension of Kitis' method to the case of TL with temperature dependent frequency factor is also considered. phys. stat. sol.
