Abstract
Hydrodistilled volatile oil from the aerial parts of Stachys ixodes Boiss. & Hausskn. ex Boiss. was analysed by a combination of GC and GC–MS. 20 components were identified, constituting approximately 95.7% of the oil. The main constituents of the essential oil were myrtenyl acetate (48.7%), globulol (13.1%), caryophyllene oxide (5.9%) and spathulenol (5.6%). Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
