## Abstract The insertion loss of lensed fiber collimator using gradient‐index fiber of 140‐μm diameter spliced to single‐mode fiber is investigated. The power transmission equation is applied for theoretical analysis of the insertion loss between a lensed fiber pair. Both numerical and experimenta
