Abstract
In this paper, a new logโperiodic antenna design is investigated using the finiteโdifference timeโdomain method. The twoโarm, conical logโperiodic antenna is linearly polarized and has uniform performance characteristics over a broad range of frequencies. It is shown that the shape of the antenna arms has a significant impact on the performance and the bandwidth of the antenna. ยฉ 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
