โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

A circular patch antenna tuned by a ferrite post is presented. The DCโ€biasing magnetic field is assumed perpendicular to the patch and the ferrite losses are taken into account. Both rightโ€ and leftโ€hand circular polarizations are considered. The โ€œperfect magnetic wallsโ€ approximation is employed and the resulting closedโ€form expressions can be used in the design of patch antennas. Also, this approximate but analytical study offers a clear physical insight with regard to the ferrite effects on the patch antenna's resonance characteristics. ยฉ 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The subject of study is a conical wraparound short-circuited microstrip antenna operating in dual frequency range. Experimental radiation patterns of two modes, corresponding to symmetrically and asymmetrically excited cones, are compared with the calculated ones based on semiinfinite cone theory. T

## Abstract In this work a complementary study of an elliptical antenna circularly polarized designed on a glass substrate is proposed using a 3D finiteโ€element method that takes into account the finite size of the substrate. This simulation type gave more reliable results in nearโ€ and farโ€field an
