A method is presented for analysis of gamma-carboxyglutamic acid based on its derivatization with phenylisothiocyanate and reverse phase HPLC analysis of the resulting phenylthiocarbamyl derivative. Proteins were hydrolyzed with sodium hydroxide and the hydrolysates were desalted on Dowex 50 eluted
