✦ Synopsis
The Raman and infrared spectra of dithiodiglycolic acid and its potassium salts in aqueous solution were obtained in the region 4000-200 cm -1 . The fundamental vibrations were completly assigned in order to determine the conformations of these compounds. The analysis of the polarization of the Raman lines indicated that the acid, the acid salt and the neutral salt belong to the C s symmetry group.
