## Abstract Activated palladium is used as catalyst for the hydrogenโtritium exchange in tricyclic antidepressants. The specific activities obtained are: desipramine: 44.9 Ci/mmol; imipramine: 14.9 Ci/mmol; notriptyline: 2.0 Ci/mmol and amitriptyline: 1.7 Ci/mmol.

## Abstract EXP631, 4โ(3โthienyl)โฮฑ,ฮฑ, 1โtrimethylโ4โpiperidinemethanol hemiโfumarate salt (I), is a centrally acting nonโopioid analgesic compound with monoamine uptake blocking properties. EXP631 has analgesic effects in several animal models. It is intended to be used for the treatment of modera
The influence of ageing on serum levels of tertiary tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) was studied in 385 psychiatric inpatients treated daily with one of three TCAs: 157 patients with amitriptyline (154 f 47 mg, mean dose +SD), 183 with doxepin (177 f 59 mg) and 45 with clomipramine (153 f 51 mg). We have recently reported that the tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) imipramine, clomipramine, and citalopram induce apoptosis in human peripheral lymphocytes. This system is well suited for studies on the pathophysiology/physiology of apoptosis regulation. Apoptosis was determined using both DNA gel
The electron impact and fast-atom bombardment mass spectrometric behaviour of five tricyclic antidepressants (desipramine, imipramine, clomipramine, trimipramine and lofepramine) and of their synthons (iminodibenzyl and 3-chloroiminodibenzyl) have been studied in detail with the aid of metastable-io
