Differences in surface chemical composition were found when examining poly (vinylacetateco-vinylalcohol) (PVOH) film surfaces. The content of the acetate groups increased at the outermost surface when dried in air and similar content, when dried against a glass surface, compared to the bulk content.

The modified surfaces were characterized by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy shortly following plasma treatment and after storage in air for about 360 days. The oxygen concent
We have studied the surface composition of (styrene/methyl methacrylate) copolymers containing from 0 to \(100 \mathrm{~mol} \%\) of styrene by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy. The detailed analysis is carried out for the \(C(1 s), O(1 s)\), and \(S(2 p)\) core levels in copolymers prior to and aft
