Several trifluoromethylsulfonyl and fluorosulfonyl nonracemic (> 99% e.e.) enol ethers were cross-coupled to arylboronic acid under palladium [PdCl2(dppf)] catalysis to provide in high yield (>98%) selected 1,3-diaryl nonracemic indenes.
