✦ Synopsis

We have studied cerevisiae transformation parameters of the lithium protocol first reported by the effect on Saccharomyces frequency of varying several acetate-mediated transformation Ito et ai.(1983 a). We found that by sequentially optimising these conditions we obtained an approximately 50-fold increase in yield from 190 to 9000 transformants per ~g of the plasmid YEp 13 for strain DBY 746.
