A modified fluorometric method for the determination of thiamine in food is describcd. The procedure is simple, reproducible, does not demand costly outfit and chemicals and is not susceptible to interference. The recovery of added thiamine is good.

β¦ Synopsis
The design and operation of an instrument for the direct, continuous monitoring of electrode capacitance under potentiostatic conditions is described. Accurate values of the capacitance can bc obtained over two orders of magnitude of capacitance, even in the presence of low parallel resistances.

The assay of deuterium in organic compounds has heretofore been based on combustion followed by reduction of the resultant D,O to deuterium, which is then measured in the mass spectrometer. Certain limitations in methods (1, 2) employing the combustion principle have led to consideration of another
A colorimetric procedure is described for the microdetermination of meprobamate in biological fluids. Meprobamate is extracted from plasma or serum using mixed chloroform-carbon tetrachloride solvent, and color development is effected by treatment with p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde and antimony trichl
