✦ Synopsis

Observations are reported of an Ha filament clearly visible in the image of the chromosphere at the limb as well as in the Hc~ spectrum of the same part of the chromosphere. Observations of this kind may give valuable information about the absorption mechanism at work in filaments.

Time succession of 25 Ha spicules has been studied. The spectra are obtained at a height of 6 arc sec during 21 rain (38 pictures) with the 53 cm Lyot coronagraph. Total intensities W, widths AA and radial velocities Vr are determined (about 650 Ha line profiles). For 14 spicules the sign of V, vari

The flash spectra of the partial Sun and the chromosphere were obtained at the total solar eclipse on 7 March, 1970. We studied the distributions of the surface brightness of the continuum at six wavelengths in the visual region to compare them with the previous observations and the existing model a

A systematic line profile analysis of Fe xw 2 5303 coronal line was carried out for a single active region successively observed both above the east and west solar limb (4, 18, and 19 October, 1974). Cross-correlations of the intensity, temperature and velocity structures among these three sets of o
