✦ Synopsis
Abstract
magnified image An efficient and convenient method for the preparation of 5,6‐dihydrobenzo[h]quinazoline derivatives by the multicomponent reactions of aromatic aldehydes, 3,4‐dihydronaphthalen‐1(2__H__)‐one and urea or acetamidine hydrochloride, in the presence of sodium hydroxide under solvent‐free conditions was reported. This method has the advantages of excellent yields, mild reaction conditions, easy work‐up, and environmentally friendly procedure. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2010).
