Abstract

The properties of long polymer chains in solution can be determined by direct renormalization of the mean‐square end‐to‐end polymer distance and the effective interaction between two chains. The equations for these quantities, correct up to first order in Ξ΅ = 4 βˆ’ d, are derived. For γ€ˆR^2^〉 and A~2~ they describe the transfer from Gaussian to non‐Gaussian behaviour.
