Abstract
A Sagnac loop filter based on the birefringence of a photonic crystal fiber is used to demonstrate an all‐fiber multi‐wavelength Raman fiber laser. Stable lasing at multi‐wavelengths is achieved and the power distribution among different lasing wavelengths can be tuned by adjusting the pump powers. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract We propose and experimentally demonstrate a multiwavelength erbium‐doped fiber ring laser using a fiber Sagnac loop filter. The fiber Sagnac loop filter served as the wavelength selection component within the ring laser cavity. By carefully tuning the setting of the polarization control
A simple design of multi-wavelength generation in the S-band region of the optical network transmission is proposed. The design consists of broad-band fiber Bragg grating (BB-FBG), which acts as a filter to enhance operation in the S-band region. A Sagnac loop mirror (SLM) is used to generate multip
