β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
An acid process for the production of chromic anhydride from chromite ore has been developed on a pilotβplant scale. The process, a modification of that proposed by Gresford and Wylie, was operated for six months to examine operating conditions and to determine data for design purposes. It was found to operate satisfactorily with both highβ and lowβgrade chromite ores and is suitable for largeβscale production of chromic anhydride.
