✦ Synopsis

The requirements from an ideal a.c. bridge for making impedance measurements in electrochemical systems are a small a.c. input voltage (l-5 mV), a wide frequency range (10 c/s-3 MC/S), suitable balancing components and a sensitivity and precision of measurement of the order of 1 per cent. A new bridge approximating the ideal is described, and its scope and limitations are discussed.
