✍ George A. Pearse Jr.; Brad A. Bovenzi 📂 Article 📅 1997 🏛 Elsevier Science 🌐 English ⚖ 29 KB

A method is proposed for the separation of nitriles from other functional groups by derivatization. The resulting O-carboxamide amidoxime derivative of the nitrile is then identified by the use of HPLC retention times. The method has been successfully applied to isomeric monocyanopyridine and cyanot

✍ Amos Neidle; Miriam Banay-Schwartz; Shirley Sacks; David S. Dunlop 📂 Article 📅 1989 🏛 Elsevier Science 🌐 English ⚖ 550 KB

A method which uses 1-naphthylisocyanate as an HPLC precolumn derivatization reagent for amino acid analysis is described. Derivatization is carried out by adding the isocyanate dissolved in dry acetone to a buffered amino acid solution followed by extraction of the excess reagent with cyclohexane.
