## Abstract Maleic anhydride (MA) reacts in acetone solution with pyridine (Py) at room temperature with carbon dioxide evolution and formation of oligomers having average Mฬ~n~ ranging from 400 to 700 daltons. The influence of pyridine concentration on the rate of decarboxylation has been studied.

A series of maleic anhydride (MA)รvinyl acetate (VA), MAรmethyl methacrylate (MM) and MAรstyrene (S) copolymers were prepared and characterized. By employing various amounts of initiator, MAรVA, MAรMM and MAรS copolymers with molecular weights ranging between 18 000 and 219 000 were obtained. The "i
This paper describes the influence of a termination of ended carboxyl groups of ethylene glycol-maleic anhydride-phtalic anhydride polyesters with cyclohexanole on a position of phase interface of the unsaturated polyester-styrene system. At given temperatures, optimal molecular weights were determi
