Adsorbed NH is a stable adsorbed intemxdrate formed during hydrzine decomposition in the 285 to 365 K temperature range on the Nt(111) surface. Adsorbed NH is onented nearly perpendicular to the surface with an NH stretching vibralion a~ 3340 cm-'. NH bend at 1260 cm-'. and Ni-N strerch al 620 cm-'.
We report the Raman spectra of pyridine chemisorbed on Ni( 111) and Ni( 100) surfaces under ultrahigh vacuum. At coverages of 0.5 monolayer, the Raman spectrum is fully developed on the Ni( 100) surface while there is no observable spectrum on Ni( 111). The spectra at saturation coverages are nearly
