The occurrence of GBV-C/HGV infection was studied in 160 individuals from two high-risk groups in Singapore. RT-PCR of the 5Ј-UTR detected GBV-C/HGV RNA in 3/73 (4.1%) of patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis for chronic renal failure, and in 17/87 (19.5%) of patients coinfected with HCV who

✦ Synopsis
Concise algebraic expressions of the symmetry-adapted functions (SAFs) for both single-valued and double-valued representations are derived for the group chain O ⊃ T ⊃ D 2 ⊃ C 2 and O ⊃ D 4 ⊃ D 2 ⊃ C 2 , which are functions of only the quantum numbers of the respective group chain without involving any irreducible matrix elements. It is shown that the SAFs of the cubic groups G = O, T d , T h , O h can be expressed in a simple way in terms of the SAFs of the group T.

We verify the inductive form of Dade's conjecture for the finite simple groups 2 G 2 3 2m+1 , where m is a positive integer, for the prime p = 3. Together with work by J. An (1994, Indian J. Math. 36, 7-27) this completes the verification of the conjecture for this series of groups.
## Abstract A combination of solid‐state ^13^C CP/MAS NMR methods was used to study the rates of rotation of the phenyl group in 3,5‐dimethyl‐1‐phenylhex‐1‐yn‐3‐ol. The methods used were __T__~1ρ~ measurements, lineshape analysis and 2D exchange spectroscopy over the temperature range 219–284 K. Th
